Dear parents and students,

In March, it should be a time when spring returns, but the observatory had issued multiple cold weather warnings. This unpredictable weather has caused many students, parents, and teachers to fall ill. Here, I sincerely remind everyone to pay attention to their health, dress warmly, drink more water and take protective measures. The essential element is to be positive.

一直以來，本校大力提倡「經歷為本」的教育理念，積極安排豐富多樣的活動，旨在讓學生在親身體驗中學習。這種學習方式不僅能讓知識的吸收更為深刻，還能讓學生獲取許多書本上學不到的寶貴知識。

Our school has always advocated an "experience-based" educational philosophy, actively arranging a variety of rich activities aimed at allowing students to learn through personal experiences. This learning method not only deepens knowledge absorption but also provides students with valuable insights that cannot be learned from textbooks.

本月，一年級的同學們開展了一系列豐富多彩的活動。為配合課程學習，他們參觀了屯門公園，隨後將在公園的所見所聞巧妙地運用到中文寫作中。在科學課上，同學們專注學習如何正確刷牙以及生活自理技能。中文課更是別出心裁，學生們手持平板電腦，在校內花圃中仔細尋找不同的葉片、花朵和小昆蟲，在這個過程中，他們學會了觀察大自然，也培養了愛護自然的意識。3 月 20 日（週四）的英語課，同學們前往香港動植物公園參觀，通過實地觀察，加深了對動物英文詞彙的理解，與課文學習緊密結合。學校期望通過這些活動，激發學生的學習興趣，並以相關學習冊及多元化評估取代上學期的測驗和考試。

This month, all the Primary 1 students have participated in a series of wonderful activities. To complement their curriculum, they visited Tuen Mun Park, where they will obviously incorporate their observations into Chinese writing. In science, students focused on learning how to brush their teeth correctly and develop life skills. The Chinese class was particularly creative that students used tablets to carefully search for different leaves, flowers, and small insects in the school garden. Through this process, they learned to observe nature and cultivate an awareness of caring for the environment. On Thursday, 20th March 2025, during the English class, students visited the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, where they deepened their understanding of animal vocabulary items in English through real-life observation, closely connecting it with their curriculum. The school hopes to stimulate students' interest in learning through these activities, replacing the test and exam of the first term with related learning books and diversified assessments.

3 月 4 日（週二），二至四年級的同學們一同前往海洋公園，參加「動物探索」精神健康同樂日活動。儘管天文台曾預告有傾盆大雨，但當天天氣十分好，雖陰天卻未降雨。同學們玩得不亦樂乎，其中最讓他們興奮的，莫過於看到了可愛的熊貓。
在本校校本獎勵計劃中，一至六年級的同學們取得了優異成績。為此，學校特意安排獲獎同學參觀益力多工廠。益力多是大多數學生喜愛的產品，所以同學們都興奮不已。活動當天，還有家長義工積極協助，這不僅保障了活動的順利進行，也讓家長們更加深入地了解學校的教育理念。

On Tuesday, 4th March 2025, students from Primary 2 to 4 went to Ocean Park to participate in the "Animal Exploration" Mental Health Fun Day. Despite the observatory predicting heavy rain, the weather was excellent that day—overcast but dry. Students had a wonderful time, and the most exciting moment was seeing the adorable pandas.
In our school's reward program, students from Primary 1 to 6 achieved outstanding results. Therefore, the school arranged for the award-winning students to visit the Yakult factory. Since Yakult is a favorite product among most students, everyone was thrilled. On the day of the event, parent volunteers actively assisted, ensuring the smooth progress of the activities and allowing parents to gain a deeper understanding of the school's educational philosophy.

理財，是人文科中備受重視的課題。學校不僅參與了教育大學的「小學理財教育」項目，更希望學生能夠切實理解金錢的運用，避免紙上談兵。於是，在 3 月 6 日（週四）下午，學校精心舉辦了「理財教育模擬市集」活動。在活動中，學生們通過實際的消費決策，學會如何做出合理選擇。活動當天，家長們也積極參與協助，學生和家長都一致認為這是一個極具意義的活動。

Financial literacy is a highly valued topic in the humanities curriculum. The school not only participates in the "Primary Financial Education" project from the Education University but also hopes that students can practically understand the use of money, avoiding mere theoretical discussions. Thus, on Thursday, 6th March 2025 afternoon, the school carefully organized a "Financial Education Simulation Market." During this event, students learned how to make reasonable choices through actual consumption decisions. Both students and parents agreed that this was a highly meaningful activity.

3 月 8 日（週六），迎來了一年一度的親子旅行。早上，大家浩浩蕩蕩地乘坐兩輛旅遊車前往西貢蕉坑獅子會自然教育中心。這裡展館眾多，為集體活動提供了便利，寬敞舒適的環境也十分適合散步，讓大家盡情放鬆心情。中午，眾人前往西貢碼頭附近的酒家享用午餐，餐食美味可口。用餐後，大家在西貢火山探知館及市集自由觀光。隨後，一行人來到上水的望原自然生態公園，這裡濃郁的鄉土氣息吸引了眾多人的目光。行程中，考慮到大家較為疲憊，臨時決定折返至河上鄉豆美味豆品工場。在這裡，大家稍作休息，品嚐了馳名中外的豆腐花及其他美食，度過了一個愉快的假日。

On Saturday, 8th March 2025, the annual parent-child trip took place. In the morning, everyone boarded two tour coaches to the Sai Kung Chiu Keng Lions Nature Education Centre. The center has numerous exhibition halls, providing convenience for group activities, and the spacious and comfortable environment is perfect for walking, allowing everyone to relax. At noon, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch at a restaurant near Sai Kung Pier. After the meal, they freely explored the Sai Kung Volcano Discovery Centre and the market. Subsequently, the group visited the Wang Yuan Nature Ecological Park in Sheung Shui, where the rich local atmosphere attracted many people's attention. Considering that everyone was quite tired, they decided to return to the Ho Sheung Heung Yummy Beancurd Factory. Here, they took a short break and tasted the world-famous tofu pudding and other delicacies, enjoying a wonderful holiday.

為提升教師教學質量，學校安排了不同學科的觀課活動。今年，除了傳統的中、英、數、常、德公等科目，還涵蓋了視藝、音樂、體育、電腦、人文和科學等學科。授課教師準備充分，在輕鬆無壓的氛圍中授課，觀課教師也積極主動協助，最為重要的是，看到同學們沉浸並享受課堂氛圍。

To improve teaching quality, the school arranged observation activities for different subjects. This year, in addition to the traditional subjects like Chinese, English, Mathematics, General Studies, and Moral Education, it also included Visual Arts, Music, Physical Education, Computer Studies, Humanities, and Science. The teaching staff were well-prepared, and classes were conducted in a relaxed atmosphere. Observing teachers actively assisted, and most importantly, students were immersed in and enjoyed the classroom environment.

今年，同學們成功完成了戲劇節表演 ——《校園惡作劇大作戰》。同學們的精彩表現贏得了陣陣掌聲。比賽結束後，學校於 3 月 19 日（星期三）下午迅速安排了家長特別場，家長、學生和老師齊聚一堂共同欣賞，大家對這場表演喜愛有加。學校鼓勵同學們今後多參與戲劇表演，這對提升他們的表達能力大有裨益。

This year, students successfully completed the drama festival performance—"Prank Wars at Campus." Their wonderful performances received rounds of applause. After the competition, on the afternoon of Wednesday, 19th March 2025, the school quickly arranged a special show for parents, where parents, students, and teachers gathered to enjoy it together. Everyone loved the performance. The school encourages students to participate more in drama performances in the future, as this greatly benefits their expressive abilities.

因為LTY 是一所有愛的學校，所以也被社會關愛的小學。 在4月21日（五），屯門景區警民關係組袁慧儀督察親自到校與全校同學分享防罪講座，提醒每位同學注意個人安全。原來袁督察是我們LTY的畢業生，很多同學都讚賞完督察能幹又漂亮，是大家的學習偶像。
在4月24日（一）懲教署的高級監督簡文傑先生、總懲教主任葉建輝先生、懲教事務督察鄧耀華先生及懲教署的義工隊到訪本校，目的是提醒同學要注意精神健康及預防毒品的講座。當中有很多互動活動，令每位同學愉快地學習。在義工隊中有一位成員是我們熟悉的，他就是本校家教會主席蘇先生，衷心多謝他為學校安排如此有意義的講座給同學們。在三月二十五日我出席了警務處舉辦全新劇目《太空遊學團——互動禁毒劇場》體驗場，向逾二百名校長、教師和高小學生傳遞禁毒信息，防範新興「太空油毒品」入侵校園。劇中演員帶領觀眾參加遊學團，在旅途中一同拒絕毒品誘惑，透過互動和提問，啓發同學思考，教導他們認清毒害，提高對「太空油毒品」的警惕。(https://www.info.gov.hk/gia/general/202503/25/P2025032500390.htm)

Owing to LTY is a caring and loving school, it is also a primary school cared for by the community. On Friday, 21st April 2025, Inspector Yuen Wai-yee, Sandy from the Police Community Relations Office Tuen Mun District visited our school to share a crime prevention lecture with all the students, reminding everyone to pay attention to personal safety. Inspector Yuen is an alumnus of LTY, and many students praised her for being capable and beautiful, making her a role model for everyone.
Additionally, on Monday, 24th April 2025, Mr. Kan Man-kit, Senior Superintendent of the Correctional Services Department, along with Mr. Yip Kin-fai, Chief Officer (Security Unit), and Mr. Tang Yiu-wah, Superintendent, visited our school. Their purpose was to remind students about mental health and drug prevention through a lecture. There were many interactive activities, allowing each student to learn joyfully. Among the volunteers was a familiar face, Mr. So, the chairman of our Parent-Teacher Association. We sincerely thank him for arranging such meaningful lectures for the students. I attended the Hong Kong Police Force staged a new play, "Interactive Anti-Drug Theatre - A Space Study Adventure", at an experience session on Tuesday, 25th March 2025, to deliver anti-drug messages to over 200 principals, teachers and upper primary students, aiming to safeguard schools from the emerging "space oil drug". The actors in the play took the audience on a study trip, during which they resisted the temptation of drugs. Through interactive questions designed to inspire critical thinking, students gained a thorough understanding of the harmful effects caused by drug abuse and became more vigilant against the "space oil drug". 在三月二十五日（二）本校殊教育需要統籌主任鄭綽英與陳楚欣老師到教育局分享在本校如何有效實踐「AIM計劃」，這計劃的是提供具針對性的小組訓練活動，讓有學生掌握學習適應、社交溝通及情緒適應的技巧，讓他們學會社會普遍接受的行為，增強其自我調控和獨立生活的能力。本校被邀請原因在2023年六月，教育局學校發展支援組到校進行校外評核，他們十分欣賞本校的學生支援安排，所以邀請鄭主任分享，這對LTY的一個肯定。

On Tuesday, 25th March, our school's Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO), Ms. Cheng Cheuk Ying, and the teacher Ms. Chan Chor Yan went to the Education Bureau to share how our school effectively implements the "AIM Program." This program provides targeted small group training activities to help students master skills in learning adaptation, social communication, and emotional adjustment. It aims to teach them socially accepted behaviors and enhance their self-regulation and independent living skills. Our school was invited to share because, in June 2023, the Education Bureau's School Development Support Team conducted an External School Review (ESR) at our school. They were very impressed with our student support arrangement, which is a recognition for LTY.

三月底，即將迎來下學期的測驗，尤其是六年級的同學需要提交成績。在此，希望同學們儘快投入複習，全力以赴，爭取優異成績。

At the end of March, the upcoming test for the second term is approaching, especially for Primary 6 students who need to submit their marks to EDB. Here, I hope students will quickly begin their revision, give their all, and strive for excellent results.
